Also called fumigation, the facial sauna has long been the beauty tip of our grandmothers. He has been back for some time for a healthy and natural beauty routine.
What is it ?
Your facial routine is long and restrictive? Why not try fumigation? It is a skin purification system with water vapor. The heat will allow to dilate the pores for a thorough cleaning, effective, without aggression and whatever the type of skin. Later treatments such as moisturizing cream, scrubs or masks will have their effects optimized.
How it works ?
A simple and inexpensive process, fumigation is also fast and efficient. 15 or 20 minutes, once a week, are enough to find a clear skin. You can use a bowl or bowl of boiling water, over which you bend your head, covered with a towel. But today there is the electric face sauna complete and easy to use. The principle is the same except that a specific tip replaces the towel, and that the bowl is replaced by a hot water container. Some also combine dual use by inhaling the vapor through the mouth or nose, helping to clear the airways.
Use your garden to heal your skin
Certainly water vapor alone can expand the pores to “clean up”. There is nevertheless a multitude of concoctions, in order to optimize the effects of the purification or even the reconstitution of the skin.
– Essential oils (organic)
Add 5 to 6 drops of essential oils in your boiling water depending on your skin type. Oily or combination skin will prefer the essential oils of thyme, rosemary, teatree, lavender, palma rosa, patchouli, lemon, juniper or carrot. The dry skin will turn instead to the essential oil of incense, neroli, or marjoram.
Finally, for all skin types, enjoy the benefits of aromatherapy and more with essential oils of eucalyptus (ideal for colds), lavender + chamomile (soothes) and orange ginger (stimulates).
– Aromatic herbs
Your garden is your best ally to heal your skin. For example, dive some thyme leaves or rosemary etc, the citrus peel or the lavender flower into your boiling water and let it work for 15 minutes.
For normal skin, use lavender, rose, parsley, or thyme. Oily skin will need romaine, thyme, sage, fresh mint, lavender, bark or slices of citrus. Dry skin, on the other hand, will enjoy the sweetness of chamomile, fennel seed, or sage.
Associations are obviously beneficial. Find your fumigation routine and display your beautiful skin! To go further on the subject .
Attention, if you suffer from rosacea, fumigation is strongly discouraged.
